Two of the UK design industry's leading lights share their experiences and thoughts on developments in design for digital and broadcast media.

Nicolas Roope Creative Director, Poke London; Founder, Hulger
In addition to his role as Creative Director for Poke London, Nicolas Roope is the founder of Hulger.
Poke London are an award winning digital agency, that focus, "on inventing and making interactive things." Poke state: "Most of Poke's work is web based. Mainly because the Internet is the biggest and most interesting space we can play in right now. And the web is the bit that gives us the most opportunity to do genuinely creative things."
In adition to his role at Poke, London, Roope runs Hulger, a product design company that, "brings humanity back into the product equation, with functionality no longer playing the lead role." Their inventive retro products like the Pappa Skype phone, hand crafted from walnut and brass (above) offer a crafted alternative to the mass produced.

Jane Fielder Creative Director, Red Bee Media
Jane Fielder is Creative Director of Red Bee Media, who state: "We do things with content - lots of things."
Specialising in creating, enhancing and promoting digital content, Red Bee Media work across a variety of platforms, from TV to web to mobile phones, creating award winning campaigns. Their work has included TV idents for the BBC amongst others.
